Alla 57° edizione dei Grammy Awards 2015, gli oscar della musica che si sono tenuti a Los Angeles, il trionfo è di Sam Smith.
Sam Smith si è portato a casa ben 4 premi, ovvero i Grammys per le categorie Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best New Artist e Best Pop Vocal Album. I pronostici, dunque, non sono stati traditi.
Beyoncé, invece ha vinto 3 grammofoni d’oro per la migliore performance R&B, migliore canzone R&B con la canzone ‘Drunk in Love’ e Best Surround Sound Album. Il grammofonino per l’album dell’anno però è stato vinto da Beck, autore di ‘Morning Phase’.
Katy Perry e Sia non hanno vinto nulla sebbene abbiano sfornato, ultimamente, brani di successo.
Sul palco è salita anche Madonna che ha presentato il singolo ‘Living for Love‘ tratto dall’album in prossima uscita ‘Rebel‘. Anche Rihanna ha cantato per la prima volta dal vivo il singolo ‘FourFiveSeconds‘, primo estratto dal nuovo album di prossima uscita. Con lei allo Staples Center anche Paul McCartney e Kanye West.
I Grammy Awards si sono aperti con il ritorno alle scene degli AC/DC, poi Rihanna, Kanye West e Paul McCartney hanno cantato FourFiveSeconds e Lady Gaga che ha duettato con il crooner Tony Bennett. A chiudere lo spettacolo è stata Beyonce, che ha cantato Take My Hand Precious Lord, mentre i ballerini sullo sfondo tenevano le mani alzate in un gesto di resa.
